My commitment to public service started in a junior high gym, listening to Paul Wellstone. He taught me that change doesn't come from the top down—it happens when ordinary people decide to get involved.

I've carried that lesson through every chapter of my life. As a firefighter, I learned what it means to be accountable when lives are on the line. After being injured in the line of duty, I pivoted to law and psychology, not just for the degrees, but to gain the tools needed to advocate for our community effectively.

After losing my parents at a young age and experiencing homelessness as a teenager, I learned from early mistakes and chose a path of responsibility, service, and leadership. Those experiences shaped my belief in second chances, strong families, and communities that lift each other up and provide opportunity.

From the Bloomington Human Rights Commission to the State Capitol, I've fought for a justice system that works and a community where everyone feels safe. I know what it's like to struggle, and I know what it takes to build a life of service from the ground up.

For more than 15 years, I have called Bloomington home. I am running for State Senate because I believe District 50 deserves leadership rooted in authenticity, respect, dignity, transparency, and listening—not political buzzwords. Our neighbors deserve honest answers, practical solutions, and a senator who will always put people over politics.
